The Oceanside Breakers Girls 98-99 Black Team won the 2013 Arsenal Classic in Temecula.

The Breakers started the tournament with a come-from-behind-tie against the Bonita Rebels 3-3 with goals from Mixtli Aguillón and Tally Romaine. The Breakers then played tournament favorites Arsenal FC White from the Southern California Developmental League Flight 1 and won 2-1.

The Breakers went down early, but Kelsey Bucknam tied the game with a brilliant shot from outside of the box. Tally Romaine slotted the game-winner off of a goal created by Jolyssa Jones. The defense continued to improve as Yesenia Betancourt returned to the GK position and continuously thwarted the Arsenal attack. Samantha Volk, Kelsey Bucknam, Angelina Rojas, Lindsay Grant, and Elizabeth Blais combined with Betancourt for the next two shutouts against La Jolla Impact and Del Mar Sharks. Tally Romaine had the two goals against the Impact that saw the Breakers win 2-0 and assure themselves top spot in the group. Mariah Stechschulte, Alina Ozuna, Kristalina Bañuelos and Valerie Estrada anchored the midfield. The Breakers went into the final and scored a beautiful goal with a a nice combination from Jones and Whitney Hay that Samantha Pérez scored in the first half against the Sharks. Later, Blais would score the second goal from outside of the area from a corner kick. A great performance throughout the tournament for the Breakers and a great end to the season.
