Recreational Program Overview

Our Recreational Program is open during the Fall and Spring seasons for players ages 4 to 18. No experience or tryout is required to join.

 

Exact dates and fees will only be available during online registration only, as fees may vary depending on the registration period.

 

Please review our Terms during online registration—No Refunds are offered. Only exception is players on a waitlist who are not placed on a team. 

Please note: Registration insurance is available during online registration. Registration does not guarantee enrollment, all dates mentioned below are subject to change without notice. Players may be placed on the waitlist during any registration period. 

 

Fall Season – General Timeline

  • April & May: Early Bird Registration may open on our website. 
  • June: Teams are forming, coaches are being recruited, parent meetings begin
  • July: Coach and team manager meetings begin (you’ll be notified via email).
  • Meet and Greet at WeGotSoccer in Carlsbad. 
  • Some Sunday practices may begin in late July.
  • Coach and team info will be posted on your Breakers TeamSideline account and app
  • August: Practices begin 2nd week of August,
  • Opening Night before first games at SoCal Sports complex. 
  • Games begin last week of August (pending city permit)
  • Schedules posted online via Breakers TeamSideline
  • September: Games continue (no practices/games Labor Day weekend)
  • October: Final games take place through last week of October

 

Practice Schedule – Fall

Divisions 6 (U7–U8) & 7 (U5–U6):

  • One weekday practice per week
  • Monday–Thursday, either 4:25–5:25 PM or 5:30–6:30 PM
  • Location: SoCal Sports Complex

Divisions 5 (U9–U10), 4 (U11–U12), 3 (U13–U14), 2 (U15–U16), 1 (U17–U19):

  • Two practices per week (older teams may have a third)
  • Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday
  • Times: 4:45–6:00 PM, 6:05–7:15 PM, or for older teams, 7:20–8:45 PM
  • Location: Mance Buchanon Park, SoCal Sports Complex, or other local parks

Note: ONLY Head Coaches choose practice days/times. No parent/player requests allowed.

 

Game Schedule – Fall

  • All divisions play at Mance Buchanon Park or SoCal Sports Complex
  • Games scheduled Saturdays between 8 AM – 4 PM
  • Up to 2 Sunday or Friday evening games may occur during the season
  • Divisions 1 & 2 may have limited travel for games in Oceanside, Vista, Carlsbad, and other surrounding cities. 

 

Spring Season – General Timeline

  • October: Early Bird Registration opens (dates & fees available during registration only)
  • December–January: Teams are forming, coaches are being recruited, parent meetings (via email)
  • February: Coach/team manager meetings begin (see calendar for details)
  • March: Weekend practices begin
  • Games start 2nd weekend of March
  • April – Early May: Games continue through the last weekend of April or 1st weekend of May
  • No games Easter weekend

Divisions 6 (U7–U8) & 7 (U5–U6):

  • One weekday practice per week
  • Monday–Thursday, either 4:20–5:20 PM or 5:30–6:30 PM

Important Spring Dates:

  • Goalkeeper Camp for Division 5: Last week of February (date subject to change)
  • Practices for Divisions 5–2: Begin first Saturday of March
  • Game Dates: Start 2nd weekend of March, end last weekend of April or 1st weekend of May
  • No games Easter weekend

Please Note:

All new volunteers are required to complete a background check and mandatory safety courses.

Returning volunteers may need to update their safety certifications if they have expired.

 

Division Coordinators and Referees are compensated for their time. All Head Coaches, and Assistant Coaches(D6 &D7 only) will receive a 40% discount/credit for a future player registration.
